St Paul's Christian Women

Who are the Saint Paul’s Christian Women?

In a Word… YOU!  All women who belong to the Church of St Paul automatically belong to Saint Paul’s Christian Women.  But you don’t have to belong to St Paul to volunteer or participate in our mission –  everyone is included and welcome.

How much do I pay to belong?

Actually,  you do not have to pay anything… we’re just happy to have you.  But, we do collect $15.00 annual dues from all those willing and able to pay.  Members of St Paul will find a special envelope in your September pack. There is also an opportunity to pay dues included it in your Holiday Bazaar mailing. You can also submit dues at any time.

What do the Saint Paul’s Christian Women do?

Lots of different activities, most of which directly benefit our parish.  Our major fundraiser is the annual Holiday Bazaar which happens in November.  The Bazaar includes a bake sale, craft sale, gift basket silent auction, raffle, and luncheon with entertainment.  We also have other activities during the year such as additional bake sales featuring delicious caramel rolls.  In the past 5 years, these activities have brought in more than $100,000.

What does all that fundraising support?

Most of it goes right to our church… about 70%.  This helps to provide altar supplies such as wine, communion wafers, missalettes, and candles.  We support the music ministry and give to special campaigns.  We have purchased kitchen equipment and items for the dining room.  We have contributed to the costs of celebrations during the liturgical year, grants for ASA classrooms activities, sponsoring Scouting activities and mission volunteers and funding stewardship grants.

In addition, we are regular contributors to local charities including Catholic Charities, Red Cross, Poor Clare Monastery, and local shelters.

And we do so much more…

Past activities have included helping at funeral luncheons and parish social events, making prayer blankets, gifting blankets to children at Anna Marie’s, coordinating gifts to others in need, holiday outreach to homebound members of the parish, cleaning in the school kitchen and church, educating our members with presentations at our semi-annual meetings, and praying for each other.

So, how can I get involved and stay connected?
